Q: I ordered a "15x Kratom extract" at ANOTHER site, a brown powder. It was very disappointing in quality - I am familiar with Kratom and although I could tell it was made from real kratom, there was no way it had an alkaloid content equivalent to 15 grams plain kratom per 1 gram extract. Was I scammed?

A: Although 15 grams may be used by the extract makers to make each 1 gram of extract, products that have been marketed as 15x kratom have been tested and found to contain substantially less than 15 times the alkaloid content of even leaf of lower grade/potency. It was more of a "3x" in testing. We get this question frequently. The material actually appears to be standardized in China to contain about 3 times the levels in plain standard grade kratom leaf, enough to be distinguishable from lower grade plain leaf,. The number, however, is inflated to 15x due to the fact that they claim to use up 15 grams of leaf in making 1 gram of extract, which is very likely true. Almost all buyers assume it would have 15x the content of plain leaf, and this is not the case. When we market a kratom product with an "X" and a number, indicating a number of "times" that a product is stronger in alkaloid content, it really is that many times more potent - such as our 80X Kratom.
